Tomas Jewelry is looking for a qualified professional who is motivated to excel at a fast paced growing jewelry company in Arcata that has Document Control experience and is committed to supporting project milestones. The Document Control Coordinator will be responsible for executing the implementation/maintaining the Documentation Service needs of the organization. Facilitate continued growth and strengthening of the Quality Management System as well as develop efficient systems for control of documents, managing the approval process, release and maintenance of all documents required for design manufacture and service of the products provided by the site including but not limited to the functional needs listed below.

• Manage the Documentation System Structure to comply with QMS requirements.
• Manage the Engineering Change Notice Process including Change Control Board (CCB)
• Tracking of Engineering Change Request through Engineering Change Notice and Implementation.
• Provide efficient, controlled accessibility to documents to the organization.
• Establish and manage a centralized Record Retention system to comply with QMS requirements.
• Manage the control of documents of external origin such as customer documents, ISO standards, Federal and State Regulations.
• Provide awareness training to the organization on the Documentation Systems requirements and procedures.
• Supervise document control staff to ensure that master drawing files, BOM, design history files, and design master records are accurate and current, and that effective control is maintained over drawings and other document records.
• Perform data entry function on the ERP system for BOM release.
• Facilitate periodic review of documents to comply with QMS requirements.
• Support the Internal Quality Audit program.

Costing and Customs Analyst

Providing critical assistance to the Costing and Customs team, this position is responsible for determining costs of items, developing reports on costs and margins; as well as processing routine import transactions - ensuring absolute compliance with U.S. Customs and International Trade Requirements.

The ideal candidate is a team player and analytical thinker that can help strengthen and evolve the Costing and Customs functions throughout the company.

Housed within the Finance Dept., this position functionally reports to the Sr. Analyst in Costing and Customs; and regarding personnel, reports to the Director of Finance.

Responsibilities - Costing:

• Providing initial estimates; as well as updated costing of existing product as procedures and parameters change
• Communicating issues and opportunities to team lead
• Ensuring that costs are allocated according to established procedures
• Maintaining accurate records
• Reporting activity and metrics on a regular basis
• Participating in cross-functional projects, workings, & meetings

Responsibilities - Customs:

• Following established procedures for import and customs processes
• Processing transactions to ensure that all import activity is in compliance with U.S. Customs requirements
• Rating invoices for duty classification and informing the Customs Brokers
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring documentation as specified in procedures
• Communicating with brokers, freight forwarders, and suppliers to facilitate flow of imported and exported shipments

Requirements:

• At least two years of relevant experience
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Proven experience handling confidential business information
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Detailed organization and prioritization
• Intermediate to advanced technical skills in Excel, and competency in MS Office Suite
• Excellent verbal and written communication
